been another week at school and oh gosh its super tiring can.
mentally and physically.

damn primary schools for not having lifts. i gotta climb down to the basement-located staffroom, and to the third floor to teach the p6s. i probably climb fifty flights of steps per day. on heels. i so need to get flats/pumps.

every morning i have adventures instead of the just show-up-at-assembly-and-then-go-to-class. some days this p2 girl from another class will come crying to me complaining about stomach aches and fever, making her bring her down to the sick bay when everyone's singing national anthem. and on friday one of my girls puked during pledge taking and it was such a mess. goodness.

and kids who constantly bug me make me wanna murder them with my bare hands. im really sorry, but im losing my patience, gosh. not that i had much to begin with. but now when the kids look for me for redundant stuff, i just scream at them to go back to their seats.
examples include
1. pleading for a change of class committee positions just because there's a badge for the other position
2. getting out of their seats just to come up to me to tell me total rubbish (miss chang, i finish my work already; miss chang, red group is so noisy!)
at the beginning i thought they were adorable, and enthusiastically responded to every of their problems. but now after one week, its just plain irritating. wish i could glue some of them to their seats. like, PERMANENTLY.

and of course the problem kids and autistic child who're giving me heart attacks every now and then.

plus im losing my voice with every passing period.

ahhhhhh alright will blog about being miss chang again soon.
gotta pack my stuff to sleepover at my sister's again.
have fun working for those who're working, and mug hard for those still slogging it out for the school term!

1. i havent heard the national anthem sung SO loudly (and off-keyed) in almost a decade.
very very cute. i was laughing to myself.

2. im the form teacher of primary 2 Excellence-
yes the sch recently changed class names from the conventional 2A 2B 2C 2D, to 2Excellence, 2Courage, 2Emapthy, 2Perseverance etc.
imagine poor kids (and even parents) trying to spell their class, 1Perseverence 1Peservarance 1Peseverans

3. everyone knows i have terrible memory. so learning 30 new names PLUS colleagues names was really terribly confusing for me.
WHAT an experience, everyone should try it.
learn 40 names in a day.
i managed to mix up quite a lot of names but im getting better by the minute (:

4. my kids are ADORABLE. ive got 30 eightyrolds under my wing but i dont mind really,
unless they're really noisy and i cant make them stay silent.
and they tend to like to stand up and walk around class.
so besides being strict with them, i give them the incentive of behaving
by claiming im monitoring their behaviours so as to choose the group leaders and class monitor and monitress later.
it REALLY works. kids.
so anyway, some of them are real angels. ive started receiving fan mail from them. (:
drawings of me, or flowers and butterflies by the kids. soooooooo cute!

5. so i teach p2 art, english. and p6 art. i take 8 /11 p6 classes for art.
some were reaaaaally rowdy. worse than my p2s.
and i didnt know what to do with them so i ended up crapping on the DaVinci Code and how art is all subjective and no right or wrong and all.
then showed them youtube videos on pollock, graffiti and other forms of art.
well at least they paid attention to the videos.

6. im looooosing my voice from all the shouting and screaming. i feel like a nanny, making even the p6es line up to take them to recess.
haha, but its really funny i feel, cos ive been to 3 p6 classes, and all the girls are taller than the boys.
make them look like older sisters and younger brothers. puberty is just sooooo weird.

7. day 2 into my job and im beginning to speak
slower
clearer
and am trying very hard to avoid employing the uses of vulgarities/harsh words/slang/singlish.
and my handwriting is now
clearer
and bigger
and no longer as artistically messy. lol.

and everything reminds me of MY primary school days, and i reeeeally miss it ): fuhua6A2001.
