in response to melissa's comment, i shall write a blog entry about it.
(aww see i told all of you i was aunt agony)
i still remember my very first crush. that was probably in primary five or six. he was my classmate; we were friends. my heart would pound when i was talking to him, but he always made me laugh and made me feel comfortable. i thought about him even in his absence and my stomach ached when i did. i loved his boyish charm and everything he did made me smile. he was a naughty boy, oh yes, and he did and said stupid things which i thought were uber cool and suave and witty.
now dont you come pointing fingers at me and thinking "oh jane was so childish" cos im
sure everyone has had their own story to tell about their own first erm, love. but i just wanna remind my dearest primary six kids reading this that a crush is still a crush, it is most probably puppy love, which wont last long. dont think of diving into a relationship now, because really, how long do you think your relationship is going to last now that you're only twelve? teenage (or in this case pre-teen) love is very unstable and most probably wont last long. moreover psle is around the corner and i'd recommend you study harder and think about your crush later. though i understand its inevitable to not think about him/her. been there done that hahahaa :)
and to the older readers of my blog, just some background info that kids these days, eleven and twelve year olds, are already dating and talking about love. and not afraid to confess to one another. how very complicated, our younger generation's lives are. we back then had minimal relationships and everyone basically kept hush-hush about these kinda stuff and only responded by teasing the other genders. hahahah. talk about singapore becoming a more open society.
mmmhmmm so those were the days of having a crush back in primary school. after that things just become so different.
or...maybe not :)
