A couple of weeks ago, I was still surviving on a pretty lousy Windows Mobile 6 running on a pretty lousy touch-screen LG phone which hanged every time I didn't pick up a phone call in time. Today I am the proud owner of the Apple iPhone, all thanks to my AWESOME DAVIER (who is, atm on his way to Japan)! It was really sweet and unexpected, so I gotta thank him here again. This Apple fangirl has finally had her dream realised!

My life has really changed since I got the phone and upgraded my mobile plan to a 3G data one. I feel so connected to the world 24/7, so much so that today when my phone battery died, I felt so totally helpless and lost. I think I may need Internet rehabilitation soon. I have been having heaps of fun with the applications, and the convenience I have at my fingertips have been applied even during class lessons, reallyy. Oh, and I was highly fascinated that screen shots can be taken of my iPhone screen. So here is a very eye-candy-ish application page that I re-arranged! These are the more major apps that I'm using, and somehow the the colours flow nicely. And I've noticed that many major social media websites use the colour blue. Interestinggggg.

So for the rest of the time that I am able to keep my hands off my phone, I've been using to struggle and stay afloat this semester. No time for LOST, no time for shopping, no time for keeping my room neat and tidy, no time for myself. 3 pairs of shoes/sandals died within this couple of months. I've been shamelessly donning flip-flops to lessons.

Okay. Another long month of perseverance, and then a sweet four month-long holiday. It'll be worth it.

This video is just too inspirational for me, so I have to post this here.

I think every Viscommer can sympathise greatly with this video, seeing how 35 books are painstakingly hand-made with perfectionism, from the stamped type on the pages to the needle-stitched binding; oh the sense of achievement when you see those completed precious babies! Seeing this video has made me so inspired. I feel like making more books now.

But no, I've got USS to study for. Urgh.

I know I'm slow, but I finally caught the much-raved about Juno. It's a cute movie, and the actress acting as the protagonist, Juno, is really a charm. The soundtrack is lovely too – more indie music to add to my collection :D Indie's my current aural therapy.

Okay back to reality. Three books to produce in a week. Phuket, Thailand.

YEAR 2059.
YEAR 2059 STICKIES!
DOING PIXELART IS LIKE PLAYING TETRIS

Yet another Graphic Design project! We had to come up with a scenario in 2059 and do signs. It was really damn fun using Illustrator to create all those little pixel icons. (And relatively easy too.) I made my own stickies. Anyone else wants some! Okay and you're gonna be seeing more pixels in my work soon as I explore it even further. It's pretty addictive. Hahaha.

Oh, and District 9 is really pretty awesome stufffxzx. Perfect for 2059 :D

Abercrombie & Fitch is in Garamond!
I am so wearing this walking advertisement when I present the typeface.
Kudos to Sophia for buying it all the way from NY, not knowing that I'll need it so desperately one day.
Kudos to Pearlyn for modeling it despite having prelims tomorrow.
Kudos to Danielle for editing it; love your style darlin'.
An entire publication layout in one night!!! I'm a Garamonster, are you?

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's new remake of Alice In Wonderland! My fav hollywood actor reprising yet another crazy character to add to his already long list of eccentric roles. Edward Scissorhands, Captain Jack Sparrow, that guy in Sleepy Hollow, that voice in Corpse Bride, Sweeney Todd and most disturbingly, Willy Wonka. It is almost unnatural to see him acting as a normal person without heavy make-up or dramatic fashion sense. Who really remembers "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" or "Secret Window" (failed movies).

But I have a feeling that it'll be as dark and unsettling as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. With all those scarily vivid happy colours and fake plastic smiles. Creepy. Tim Burton doing children's books = don't expect it to be child-like at all. Even the pirate seems friendlier than Willy Wonka :/

But anyhows, it is Johnny Depp. So, brace yourselves for early 2010 :D

How I Kill My Time #22:
Swoon over Adam Lambert only to realise he's gay (or so they say).

http://www.americanidol.com/contestants/season_8/adam_lambert/

I mean, Adam Lambert has the most mesmerizing gorgeous blue eyes, he's super tall and can hit those really inhuman notes way beyond human capability. (Okay, so he uses falsetto but who cares, when he can use falsetto AND still sound rock?) And when he's on stage and rocking it out, oh gosh, that charisma, versatility and stage presence - it's orgasmic to watch. He's the reason I started watching American Idol again (besides the fact that there's nothing else better to watch on the telly) and he's so gonna win. Finale this week.

Too bad for us ladies that all most good looking and talented guys are gay.

How I Kill My Time #18:
Play drums on Rock Band till your arms feel like they're gonna break and you suffer from an over dosage of rock. \m/

I just spent the entire afternoon playing Nine in the Afternoon, on Rock Band- Cherylbabe on guitar, Grace Super Elmo on vocals and me DRUMS! Playing the song over and over and over again trying to make it pass expert level. Too much rock music for today. Friggin' miss drumming. Okay I'm so going back for lessons.

Pretty odd. Love the MTV. Song stuck in my head.
