tomorrow's my last day of work and i ought to feel relieved (from my relief duties-hahahaha) but im down with a heavy heart):

i was really affected by all the comments on my blog. and the cards/notes ive received. you kids are so terribly sweet. darn it.

people ask me why i quit at such a weird time, as its neither a friday nor the end of a school term. its a monday. monday, when everyone;s having monday blues and dreading a brand new week(yes im rubbing it in for you all!). but it makes sense cos its 30th june.

goodbye everyone):

then its tidying up my stuff+room+life and then its janeday(!) and then its orientation and school starts. okay, im looking forward(: ADM!

cliche as it sounds, i end one chapter here and begin again on a fresh new page now.

and so the time has come for me to say goodbye to my kids. those amazing kids i had been miss chang to for the past 6 months. an experience of a lifetime, really. i am really thankful that i was given a chance to take up this job, for art is really my life. and i was assigned to teach ten classes of art; seven p6s and three p2s. thats twenty hours of art per week. my kids. i love 'em all. every single one. 353 of them. they've truly inspired me in more ways than one. some of their art are so amazing that i have to bow down to them. as they say, kids are truly more creative.

somehow along the way, we just lose it.
and it doesnt help we are trapped in this vicious cycle of rote learning and regurgitating of study materials. how sad.

so anyway this has been the most happening week in school. i made keychains for all 353 of them. okay didnt exactly make, bought and fixed the rings. by the end of it i felt like a plier. also. i didnt personalise them or id go mad, so i just put a short ♥misschang0608 representing june 08, when im finally leaving them. :'(

here's just say, 30% of the total number of keychains.

and the white heart one that all the girls were clamouring me for.

here's to my p6 kids:

hello dears, even though im no longer teaching you, continue striving for
good results and do me proud in your psle. go to a good school and excel
there. remember to work hard and pursue your dreams too. dont ever ever give up(:

thank you for being my students and for appreciating art as much as i do. and thanks for the cards and gifts and autographing sessions which were really quite overwhelming (and UNNECESSARY YO;)

everyone of your classes are unique and different in your own way. every one of YOU is special. i'll love and miss all of you dearly. do continue doing art!

p.s. im not going to SOTA. its ntu's school of art, design and media. or, in short, ADM.(:

much as i am a hugeass fun of absolut ads, i absolut-ly do not get this one.
are they implying our squeaky clean image ?
hmmm, seems to me like a negative connotation then.

now you can take a look at my portfolio (:
(points left)

the weather's been really bad recently.
oh, we're all gonna die from global warming.
or some other natural/manmade disaster.

its apparently december 21 2012. thats in four years.
they've even got an official website here.

2012 is sometimes claimed to be a great year of spiritual transformation (or apocalypse). Many esoteric sources interpret the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar (which occurs on December 21 by the most widely held correlation) to mean there will be a major change in world order.
Accordingly, several eclectic authors claim that a major, world-changing event will take place in 2012:
The 1997 book The Bible Code claims that, according to certain algorithms of the Bible code, a meteor, asteroid or comet will collide with the Earth.
The 2006 book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel Pinchbeck discusses theories of a possible global awakening to psychic connection by the year 2012, creating a noosphere.
Other prophecies and apocalyptic writings and hypotheses for this year include:
Terence McKenna's numerological novelty theory suggests a point of singularity in which humankind will go through a great shift in consciousness.
(from wikipedia)

sounds like a revised, prettier and more profound version of the elusive Y2K bug. yet there are tonnes of believers out there that 21.12.2012 will spell the end of the world or at least, some huge, drastic change. well, if you believed that, happy worrying about the end for the next four and a half years.
for me, im just gonna enjoy adm and hostel(with eileen!) and doing my art&design. (:

aye. im sorry i thought the grass was greener on the other side.
i switched to wordpress for a while only to find out that it was worse than blogspot.
this problem of mine is clearly a reflection of my life and my life decisions, tsk.

life's been evolving into late morning brunches and later nights into the wee hours of the morning. i have no idea what im up to in the middle of such nights. just dont feel like sleeping. and preparing for the life in adm. hahaha. im reallyyyyy enjoying life now. ah. holidays(:
